Okay, so it has been a while since I last posted to the site. Yes, I have been working on my pages but I must admit to being a bit behind schedule. I have completed both my Chakra 1 and Chakra 2 pages. I am roughly half finished with page 3. Having now figured out how to download photos from my camera to my computer I can now show off what I have completed.
What have I learned--a 4" x4" piece is alot to finish in a month. Lesson learned--work on a smaller piece. At this point I do not think I will make all 12 pages but I do plan to finish at least the 7.
What else have I been doing--finishing the Round Robin project that several of my fellow Guild members and I had undertaken for 2008. I did also participate in the quilt project for raising funds for breast cancer research and managed to complete 3 squares (those were only 2" x2").
I have read the comments from several followers--and yes I think that working on the pieces is helping my healing to move forward. That and the fact that it has now been 13 months since the second surgery. I am finally feeling much more energetic than I have in years. Looking back it is hard to believe how far I have come in the last 13 months. The healing capacity of our bodies is truly amazing.
Challenges in working on my pieces--staying in such a limited palette for each page is quite interesting in making the pieces have life and movement.

I love your beading. You add so much movement with texture and color which is what I am trying to achieve.
I know the rules here say you have to do the same size page each month. But I think the more important thing is to expressing your thoughts through bead journaling. I use 4 x 4 pages also, and you are right, its hard to fill them full in a month and do other projects. I have found not filling the full page with beads just as satisfying.
If you feel 4 x 4 is too much, NO ONE will criticize you for it. I hope that you feel comfortable to reducing your project size so it won't be so overwhelming.
BTW, I also love the buttons you are using.

Sounds like you have been really busy! Love the colors you have in this one, so bright! Nice work and texture. It is amazing how only 4x4 is so much beadwork! I thought my size was small too, but am realizing it is huge for my workload :0)
